Can you Ungrip your phone like this?
A Huge Problem
Modern cellphones are getting bigger and bigger... while our hands are not.
Slippery Even When Dry
Those glass, aluminium, shiny, and thin phones are as slippery as they are nice.
One-Handed Myth
Forgotten are the good ol' days of using your phone with just one hand.
B*tch-Slapped by a phone
Phone occasionally slap you on the face - it's embarrassing and it hurts.
Extra Careful Fatigue Syndrome (ECFS)
We grip our phones tighter than we should to prevent them from slipping off our hands - this causes ECFS. And sweaty hands. Yuck.

Ungrip Material Guide
To ensure the strength and efficiency of the bond between your phone and Ungrip, we have created this short guide. Ungrip can stick to most flat surfaces. But there are some materials that the 3M tape cannot bond with. Ungrip can also be used with slightly curved surfaces like LG G4 or Nexus 6.
Surfaces Ideal for Ungrip:
Aluminium / Anodized Aluminium
This material is popular on high-end phones like iPhones and HTC phones, which are made of Aluminium.
ABS Plastic
Ungrip Bumpers are made from ABS Plastic.
Polycarbonate
This is very hard plastic popularly used on most phone cases.
If the glass is waterproofed, it won’t stick--- Sony phones are made of waterproofed glass.
Grippy Silicone
These are soft, rubbery plastic that come in different colors or are sometimes clear or transparent. If the surface feels grippy or glossy, Ungrip can stick to it.
Leather
Ungrip sticks well to leather. But removal might damage some thin and low quality leather. So please use at your own risk.
Slightly Curved Surfaces
Phones like LG G3, G4, Moto X, and Nexus 6 are slightly curved. But Ungrip won’t have any problem sticking to them.
Others: Stainless Steel, PVC, Acrylic, Nylon, Lightly-Textured Surfaces
Surfaces NOT Ideal for Ungrip:
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane)This material is a popular material for phone cases. It’s rubber that is impact resistant.
Soft-Touch Silicone
The official iPhone phone cases from Apple are made of soft-touch silicone.
Fabrics
Fabrics are very porous, and Ungrip won’t stick them.
Untreated Wood
Wood is naturally porous. Unless it is treated with a primer or coated with a sealant, Ungrip can’t stick to them.
Waterproofed Surfaces
The latest Samsung and Sony Experia phones are waterproofed. So even though they are made from Polycarbonate and Glass, Ungrip won’t be able to stick to them.
Highly Curved and Textured Surfaces
Some phone cases are heavily textured or curved. These are not ideal surfaces for Ungrip to stick on. So please use at your own risk.
We hope this short guide has given you a general idea of which surfaces works with Ungrip. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to shoot us an email at info@ungripyourphone.com

FAQ
Ungrip adheres to most flat, non-porous surfaces. It will not stick to rubber, soft-touch silicone, TPU, fabric, and those with waterproof coating. For slightly curved phones like HTC M (7,8,9) series and LG G (3,4) series, Ungrip will work on them with no problem. You'll just have a bigger gap between the phone and the Bumper on both sides. Ungrip doesn't adhere well to Sony phones due to their waterproof coating.
Yes. Ungrip comes with an extra adhesive in the pack, apart from the one already attached to the Ungrip itself.
Sadly, no. The 3M adhesives can only be used once.
Since Ungrip is made from fabric, it can easily be handwashed... or should we say--- fingerwashed. Just use mild hand soap and water and gently rub the strap between your thumb and index finger. Let it air dry for a few hours and you're as good as new! It can also be machine washed using laundry bag/nets, but fingerwashing is more effective.
We are sorry to say that we do not offer this option as of now.
No. These materials are not of real wood or aluminuium. They are ABS plastic treated with special processes to simulate wood and aluminium finishes. They still look badass! ;)
In case anyone is wondering why we didn't try to make them using actual wood and aluminium materials: Real wood is not good for this application... the size and shape required for the Bumper is not appropriate for the material. Real aluminium will be too expensive for this price range.
Of course!
